Planning your drywall work

How your drywall estimate works.

A useful estimate starts with your job: what needs doing, the finish you want and the conditions at the property.

Send a brief description and your town. We’ll follow up with any questions and discuss whether photos or a visit would help us prepare an estimate.

Requesting an estimate is free. You decide whether to proceed after reviewing the scope and price.

What affects the work and cost.

Size and condition

The amount of drywall, number of repairs and condition of the existing surface.

The finish

Texture matching, smooth finishes, corners and whether painting is part of the agreed work.

Access and preparation

Ceiling height, occupied rooms, protection and the work needed before drywall can begin.

Know what is included.

The written estimate identifies the areas being worked on, preparation, finish and any exclusions. Painting is included only when stated. Ask about anything you want clarified before accepting.

Do I need measurements before contacting you?

No. A short description and your municipality are enough to start. We’ll ask for measurements or arrange to see the space if needed.

Is submitting a request a commitment?

No. Sending a request starts a conversation. You decide whether to proceed after the work and estimate are discussed.

What if the work changes?

Changes need to be discussed and agreed in writing before the additional work proceeds. Your project agreement sets out the applicable process.
