Yes. Hanging and boarding are common terms for fastening gypsum board to prepared walls and ceilings. We confirm which walls and ceilings need board and whether taping and finishing are included in your estimate.
What must be ready before drywall installation starts?
Framing, openings, backing and the applicable insulation, vapour, electrical, mechanical and inspection milestones must match the agreed readiness plan. Unresolved prerequisites can change the sequence or stop board from being installed.
Does drywall installation include taping and finishing?
Only when both scopes are written into the estimate. Boarding has its own readiness and inspection handoff; taping, coating, sanding, priming and painting must each be identified rather than assumed.
