+Service questions
Common questions
Are popcorn, stucco and stipple ceiling removal the same service?
Those names are commonly used for textured ceilings, but the coating, relief, substrate and paint history can change the responsible method. A description can organize the first review. Words and appearance do not identify the material or settle testing requirements.
Is removal always better than skim coating or overboarding?
No. Coating condition, adhesion, board condition, height, occupancy and the desired finish may favour removal, skim coating, overboarding or replacement. The estimate should name the selected method and its limits.
Does a popcorn ceiling need asbestos testing before work?
No coating is diagnosed by age, appearance or a photo. When testing is required, an appropriately qualified provider must test it, and any required asbestos abatement must be completed separately before our ceiling work proceeds.
